About us
We’re 3 Girls just chatting and dissecting current events
Where there’s hope there’s life. We are here to shine a light on it – and to look at all angles of the truth. Yes we dare to talk about woke culture and how it differs from being truly awake – and how to really question everything, including the pretty narratives that have us looking outsider ourselves for a solution!
A few things we’re great at
What can we say?
We just start talking and oh, boy, it gets real interesting!

Carla, Diana, and Joanna first met in 2018 while working at a piling company in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Despite their diverse backgrounds—hailing from three different countries and speaking three different languages—they quickly formed a strong bond over shared experiences, countless conversations, and, of course, less-than-ideal coffee.
When the company filed for bankruptcy, their friendship remained steadfast. They supported one another through job searches and career transitions, ultimately deepening their connection. Years later, this sisterhood inspired them to create 3 Girls Gabbing, a platform dedicated to providing guidance, support, and insights on various aspects of life.
The name “The Girls” originates from their former Operations Manager, who affectionately referred to them as “his girls” and fostered a sense of camaraderie and protection. Today, they carry that spirit forward, empowering others to achieve self-sufficiency and fostering a supportive community where others can develop their self-sufficiency and independence.

Our Team
We meet often and talk about anything and everything under the sun!

Carla the Alberta Girl
Carla, the Alberta Girl, is a survivor of unspeakable abuse dealt to her by her father, and the lack of support in the way of charges against him by the Strathcona County Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Despite this horror, and the subsequent years spent in foster care, Carla has risen above it all, challenging the stereotypes of her upbringing by completing a degree in Business, earning her second-year status as an apprentice welder, and becoming a self-taught resource in self-sufficiency. She believes that everyone should be able to grow and preserve food for uncertain times, make (and stick) to a budget, be able to sew and repair their own clothing, warm blankets and quilts, and have a rudimentary workout plan to staying healthy and out of hospital. Her website, carlathealbertagirl.com, is a wealth of information, advice, and step-by-step how-to’s on self-sufficiency and her own health journey to becoming a bikini fitness competitor.
She loves Nickelback, dogs, sewing, firearms, crocheting, all things canning, and is Danny’s Girl Forever (with apologies to her NKOTB sisters).
Her auto-biography, tentatively titled “Never Again” will be released in 2026.

Joanna
Joanna is a dedicated mother, resilient professional, and strong-willed individual. As a single mom of 13 years, she has raised her two children, now 17 and 14, with love and determination. Having endured a difficult divorce, she emerged stronger, grateful to have left an unhealthy marriage behind, and focused on building a fulfilling life for herself and her family.
She works full-time and takes pride in her ability to balance work and family life. Despite her busy schedule, she makes time to relax by watching Netflix, going for walks, and dreaming of traveling the world. Her beloved Pomeranian, Ivy, adds warmth and companionship to her daily life.
Her journey at the piling company has not only provided professional growth but also brought meaningful friendships with Diana and Carla, two people she is grateful to have met along the way.
Through every challenge, Joanna has remained strong, compassionate, and determined. She is proof that resilience, hard work, and a positive mindset can create a beautiful life, even after hardship.

Diana – Soul Zensual
Always considered a bit of a wildcard – mainly for her ability to drop everything and take off somewhere else at a drop of a hat, Diana has the heart of someone who wants to save the world, while at the same time having less
focus than a gnat wandering endlessly around tracing images of lost imagination.
Her determination is to simply spread some hope and truth and let humanity sort itself out.
She’ll be the one reminding you that you create your own reality, but then go crashing wildly into a wall trying to create her own, mainly for not listening enough to her own intuition.
Full of useless information, she’s sure to make you laugh at some point about the futility of fighting this battle against yourself, and hopefully she can help you realize the amazing, awe inspiring, soul piercing power that dwells inside your chest – just waiting for you to use it for the betterment of your world.
